The main narrator, "some guy named Ben Clanton," alerts listeners they're in for lots of fun with these early graphic novels adapted to audio. Two imaginative heroes are featured in five stories, each composed of short adventures. They're connected by the squeaky-voiced Socks Whitmore, who presents Narwal, unicorn of the sea. Immediately, Narwal meets Jelly. Portrayed by Kirby Heyborne, Jelly is a jellyfish full of wonder and questioning. There are also watery trivia, puns, and secondary characters who range from a sighing starfish who wants to be in the sky to a grumbling crab. Stories build as the friends discover superpowers, suffer jealousy, and fall in love with waffles. Sound effects and bouncy musical strains create a cartoony mood.
