PreS-K-These titles present basic concepts, thinking skills, and reading skills all wrapped up in engaging stories starring mouse siblings Wanda and Albert. The concepts include position words, counting, comparing numbers, and one-to-one correspondence. The stories involve math adventures at home, school, the playground, and the library. The text and illustrations are appealing. Not only do the adorable mice introduce math, but they also share lessons about helping others, staying safe, getting along with siblings and friends, completing chores, and thinking about the best way to solve problems. "Fun Activities" are appended to each title. Libraries in need of math concept books with eye-catching artwork should consider these books first purchases.-Janene Corbin, Rosebank Elementary School, Nashville, TN

Living in the walls of a "people house," mouse siblings Wanda and Albert have various adventures with their friends. Each purposeful story serves to illustrate a math concept, including number sequencing and comparing sizes, with some concepts allowing more variety of examples than others. The cheerful mice are aptly illustrated by softly colored, well-delineated art. Two activity pages are appended.
