PreS-Gr 1-When Doctor finds a lump in Little Princess's nose, it's decided that Her Majesty must go to the hospital. She does not want to and remains unconvinced by Doctor, Queen, and Prime Minister. But go she must, and naturally when it's time to leave the castle, she is missing. After a search by Queen, Maid, Cook, Admiral, and Gardener, she is discovered in the attic by King. Off to the hospital they go with Little Princess securely tied to her stroller. And surprise!-her experience there is not so bad. In fact, upon arriving home to all her chores, Little Princess tries to return to the hospital to have her tonsils taken out: "They treated me like a Princess in there." The large, expressive watercolors have lots of amusing detail, like the cat having a fish dinner on the roof. Be prepared to explain the Walkman the Princess uses in the hospital. Sure to be popular with fans of the series.-Catherine Callegari, Gay-Kimball Library, Troy, NH
