      Each book begins with kitchen basics--safety, ingredients, equipment, techniques--necessary to prepare the volume's "food art." Photographs provide clear step-by-step instructions as well as images of the finished products. The series' theme, "Play with Your Food!," is more creativity-driven than recipe-driven, and improvisation is encouraged.
